Addicted Series Love Fest -Letter to Krista and Becca Ritchie

Hello Fellow Readers!

Due to the release of the final Addicted Series/Calloway Sisters novel on May 20th! The Fizzle Force wanted to do our own tribute and love to this wonderful series and its amazing authors!!

So I decided to show my addicted series love by just expressing how much I love these characters in the form of a goodbye/ thank you letter!

I have come to absolutely love these characters, each and everyone. From the two that started it all Lily and Lo all the way to Sadie the cat! Through all of these novels, we have laughed, cried, mourned, evolved, and fallen in love with these characters. From their highest achievements to their lowest of lows, we have been through it all.

Its hard not to become attached to characters that feel so real and normal, despite the fact that are children of millionaire moguls. They each had their own problems and worked through them, but I think what has stuck with me the most through all these books is they have one common theme.

FAMILY IS EVERYTHING!

No matter what either of them have gone through, they have gone through it together. When one of them was hurting they all were hurting.

Which is something that I have always admired about them. The way that they were a force to be reckoned with when something went wrong. Even if they weren't always fond of each other *cough* Rose and Lo *cough* haha. However,  In the end I believe that each and everyone of them would gladly lay down their lives to protect the other.

Not to mention they are all quirky and funny as hell, as well huge nerds. Well I cant necessarily call Connor and Rose Cobalt  nerds. They would be the know it all's of the group, I say that in the nicest way possible, because if I was ever in trouble those are the two I would want in my corner getting me out of any sticky situation. Even though I love Daisy, Lily, Lo, and Ryke.

These feelings that we have about these characters is a huge testament to Krista and Becca! The wonderful, talented, amazing authors who created and brought these unbelievable characters to life.

There are no amount of words that could be written to express the amount of gratitude and love that we all have for you! I can not tell you how many times I've been in a predicament and had to think what would Connor Cobalt do? Especially when choosing what I wear, Rose Calloway has been a huge influence. lol. I even tried to learn French because of those two. It didn't go so well. But its the attempt that counts right. 

The friendships that have also our been created from our love of this series. Is a friendship that will last long after this series is over.   

I still cant believe that its coming to an end. I feel like I'm losing Harry Potter all over again! Bu I can not be more excited to see what the future holds, as well as what happens in Some Kind of Perfect!

I know im kind of all over the place. Ive never been good with exspressing emorions into words. And I kind of feel all over the place, but I guess what I'm trying to say  is THANK YOU!! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for creating these realistic, strong, caring, witty, brave, and loyal characters for us readers!

I am IN LOVE with this series, and these characters! I could be more excited and sad  for the release of this book. These characters have formed a special place in my heart and I am in no way ready to say goodbye! But I also can not wait to see how it all ends. These characters seriously feel like old friends, and have grown so much throughout the series. However, even though it will break my heart to have to say goodbye.  All good things must come to an end right. The best thing about books though, is that it never really ends. We can always go back and revisit our favorite characters over and over again. I say this now, but I guarantee that when I finish this book I will be a blubbering mess of feels.

If you have read this series then you know exactly what I am talking about, and if you have not yet met these wonderful characters. You are seriously missing out and I encourage you wholeheartedly to go and grab a copy of Addicted To You, the novel that started it all!

I just finished this book before adding it to this weeks post! I am IN LOVE with this book. It took me over a year to read. But when I finally picked it up, I could not put this book down. The chemistry between the main characters was electrifying, and their witty banter was intoxicating. The writing was captivating and you could not wait to see what happens next. I can not say enough good things about this book. If you get a chance add it to your goodreads and give it a read!

I am IN LOVE with this band! Last year I went and saw them twice within 3 months of each other. And I'll hopefully be able to see them again in March! They are AMAZING, and if you get the chance to see them live DO IT!! It will be worth every penny you spend on your ticket. They are amazing live!

Even though it has been almost a month since I read this amazing novel, and the feels are still going strong I am going to do my best to get coherent thoughts written down. As you all know I am a HUGE Colleen Hoover Fan. There has not been a book of her's that I have not loved. She is one of my instant buy authors. The minute I know she has a new book coming out. I've got to have it. With November 9, there was no disappointment.  I truly believe that Colleen Hoover has out done herself with her latest novel. 

From the minute you turn the first page and meet Fallon. This young actress who has suffered a tragic accident, feisty, strong, and witty! However, not away at how strong she really is. You just felt this instant connection with her. She is having an argument with her father, which we all have done with a parent a time or two. You cant help but root for her to prove her father wrong. Without getting to spoilerish, you'll see what I mean. 

Then in walks the WONDERFUL Ben!! Making his grand entrance, and probably one of my favorite book entrances. I LOVED him from that moment. I knew though that he was going to break my heart, because there was no way you couldn't fall in love with Ben. He is charismatic, witty, smart, and sexy as hell!

The way this story was told was fantastic. How Fallon and Ben decide after having an amazing day together, to meet every year for the next five years. That they will not follow each other on social media of any kind, or exchange phone numbers. But that they will meet up on the same day, November 9 at the same restaurant they first met to catch up.  Now of course there is much drama, and things happen. You find yourself yelling at the book, "WHY CANT YOU JUST EXCHANGE PHONE NUMBERS!! "

A quick story, I was reading this book at work (Barnes & Noble) and I only have the kindle app on my phone. So I'm reading and it gets to a specific part in the book. I am literally crouched down beind the registers. Holding my phone inches away from my face, practically in tears. I knew I should stop but I could not help myself, I needed more! It got so bad my manager heard me, came back to the music department and I make-up running down my cheeks. Lets just say I am no longer allowed to read at work. lol. But it was so worth it!

Now back to the book and my thoughts.....

The writing of this novel is amazing, I have half the book highlighted because there are so many great quotes throughout the book. 

You could relate to both Fallon and Ben in such different ways. Since Fallon was in a horrific fire when she was younger, she has major confidence issues that she is learning to live with. Issues that make her vulnerable when she is with Ben. But the most beautiful thing about Fallon and Ben's relationship is that he brings out this confidence in her. Which I think is the most perfect thing in the world. Every woman, and man should have the person in their life that just makes them feel better about themselves and make them realize that no matter what. They matter, their feelings matter, and its ok.

And Ben has secrets of his own, but Fallon helps Ben heal in ways that I don't think she will fully ever understand. Just like he will never fully understand what he's done for her. The development of their characters, watching them grow. It was like watching a flower bloom in the spring, and the color of the leaves changing in the fall. Absolutely breath taking to watch and I still want more!!

This series....wow!! I read this entire series within a week and my goodness. I have to tell you as I was reading this I was like....am I going crazy?? I was finding myself re-reading certain parts of this series just to make sure I wasn't reading it incorrectly or didn't miss anything.

At first I was not sure what I really thought about this series. Now that I have finished it I am still not sure what I feel. But I think that by the end of the series I had all of my emotions and thoughts back in check. Well, I would at least like to think that I did. haha. 

This whole series was a literal whirlwind of emotions. I found myself crying, laughing, depressed, any emotion you could have. I felt it while reading this series. There was a lot of death and sadness in this series and at times it was a little too much. But I was able to prevail and make it though somewhat unscathed. 

Not going to lie, this series is very dark, twisted and sad. There are not many lighthearted moments in these books. They are few and far between. But the mind is not always a happy, safe, and sane place. Tragic things can twist the mind, making you think sometimes that up is down, and down is up. Making you seem and feel a little bit crazy. 

That is how this series starts the make character Calla has suffered a traumatic loss, and these weird things start happening. People are coming and going out of her life. She is having dreams that she isn't sure are real or not. What she does know is Nocte Libre Sum....By Night I Am Free!

I truly felt for Calla, Finn, and Dare! Calla who is so much stronger than she even knows had my heart breaking throughout this series. Knowing that all the people around you know what is going on but being told you have to figure it out on your own. That everything has to happen in order. 

That can be frustrating and upsetting. I know that if my family, friends, and the people I love were being so cryptic around me I would have reacted a completely different way. But not Calla, she keeps digging and searching for answers. 

So with the help of the people she loves, they are able to discover fully the truth of what has been going on and why Calla may think that she is crazy.

I can not say much more without revealing everything, and even if I did I am not sure if what I would be revealing are what is true. You shall understand completely what I am talking about once you pick up this last a final book in this series and read it. I will say though, that this series was very well written. The concept brilliant, and I am so glad that I picked up this series. Even though there are things that were touched upon that I am not ok with at all. In the end I believe that everyone lived happily ever after, and that everything that was supposed to be changed was changed, and that life will go on. 

What secret does Whitley hold, why the children have to pay for the sins of their parents, and is Calla really crazy? Is Finn really dead? Is Dare a figment of Calla's imagination? 

ALL will be revealed!

 "Dammit. I need—"   Cody rolled to his back, pulling her with him. She ended up sprawled across him, the ceiling pressing along her back so that she was plastered against the wide expanse of his chest. His muscles were hard against her breasts, but she didn't mind in the least.   Daughtry couldn't get enough of him. She pressed her nose to his neck and inhaled his wholly masculine scent. It was addictive. She wanted to linger, to rub against his body until the smell of him was imbedded into her pores.   But Cody wasn't patient. He grabbed her face, stealing her lips.   Finally she broke away, gasping for air. She pressed a row of careful kisses all along his scar, as if her mouth might somehow erase the reminder of the grievous injury.   He shivered and pulled her face back up. She squirmed, wanting — aching — to get closer and came in contact with—   Holy shit.   She couldn't stop herself from rubbing against the hard length of him, making them both groan in pleasure.   A distant part of her mind screamed at her to slow down, that sex was bad for her. But the bigger part soaked in Cody, absorbing the whirlwind of arousal she'd never felt before.   Was this what it could be like?   His hands went to her hips, and he started to move her, as if to flip her onto her back. She gave a little cry of pain when her hair snagged on a root in the wall.   "No," she said when he began to push her away, attempting to slide out from beneath her. They'd started this—   "Why is this damned hole so small?" she asked as she reached up to claw at her hair until it came loose then finished rolling to her back. Her every nerve was on fire for him. There was no stopping.   "It's only made for one person. Just enough room to lie down and sit up." Cody's voice was husky, his words quiet. His heavy weight pressed her down into the earthen floor, making it hard for her to concentrate. "There was nowhere else."   "It's fine," she said. And it was. The sensation of the entire bulk of his body holding her in place was heady.   Forget claustrophobia. If this were what she could expect being trapped with him, she would sign up every time.
