MY THOUGHTS

After reading so many romance novels this book was a breath of fresh air. Not that I dislike romance novels. I love them. But after reading so many in a row, all the emotions and feels happening. You most certainly need a break. haha. I am a fan of scifi paranormal, and this book in no way dissapointed.

You start off by meeting Grace, the main heroine of the story. She is what you would call a "Made." Which is, when a person dies a reaper comes to reap their soul. Help that person move on to the next plane. At first it was just death reaping souls.  When the souls became to many he created the " originals," the very first reapers. So they could help put with all the souls. As the population grew  and more reapers were needed for the increase in souls. The originals created the "mades," Which are people who died and were given the choice to become a reaper or not. They were not "born" reapers like the originals created by death. Grace, after her life ends tragically was given that option. She chose to become a "Made." Helping people in life was something that she loved doing. She was going to school to become a nurse, so helping people in death only seemed like the perfect fit.

Then there is Tully, who is her mentor so to speak. He helps her learn the ropes of what can and can not be done as reapers. Teaching her all the rules. He is actually a made himself, and was the one who gave grace the choice to become a"made"or move on. He also introduced Grace to thier friend Tessa. Who is a witch, and that is something that comes in handy when Tully realizes that something shady is going down. He believes that "Mades" are being taken, he just doesnt know how. But when he gets confirmation from a reliable source her knows that it isnt a fluke. Grace realizes that the missing reapers need to be found so that thier souls can move on. Since each reaper has a designated area for watching over souls. And bad things happen if souls are left to wander the earth.. Not only that but if who ever is taking reapers is going after "Mads"  that could possibly put her living family in danger.

So Grace, with the help of  Tully and Tessa go on one hell of an adventure to help save all the missing Reapers, protect Graces family, and ultimately save the world.

OK..maybe not the world, but ive always wanted to say that...haha.There is a whole lot more that goes down in this book, that would be way to spoilerish to mention in my review. I loved this book! I can not recommend it enough. The characters were charismatic, funny, scary, and lovable. The story original, something that I have never read before. It kept me engaged and at the edge of my seat 9 times out of 10.  I never knew what was going to happen next. I was with Grace, Tully, and Tessa through all the ups and downs of this story, and it was fantastic.

Liz Long after just one book has caught me hook, line, and sinker. In me she has a fan and friend for life. Thanks for allowing me to read and review your book Liz! And thanks Ethan Gregory over at One Guy Guide to Good Reads for introducing me to such a wonderful person and friend.

I recieved a copy of this book, via the author, in exchange for an honest review

When Rust hands him the managerial keys to the garage, they come with a second set-one that opens up the door to tons of cash and opportunity. Though it's not exactly legal, Luke's never been one to worry about that sort of thing. Especially when it puts him behind the wheel of a Porsche 911 and onto the radar of gorgeous socialite named Rain. Clara Bertelli is at the top of her game-at only twenty-six years old, she's one of the most successful undercover officers in the Washington D.C. major crime unit, and she's just been handed a case that could catapult her career and expose one of the west coast's most notorious car theft rings. But, in order to do it, she'll need to go deep undercover as Rain Martines. Her target? The twenty-four-year old nephew of a key player who appears ready to follow in his uncle's footsteps. As Clara drifts deeper into the luxurious lifestyle of Rain, and further into the arms of her very attractive and charming target, the lines between right and wrong start to blur, making her wonder if she'll be able to leave it all behind. Burying Water

  Amazon ** Barnes & Noble ** iBooks ** Kobo ** IndieBound

About BURYING WATER: The top-selling, beloved indie author of Ten Tiny Breaths returns with a new romance about a young woman who loses her memory—and the man who knows that the only way to protect her is to stay away. Left for dead in the fields of rural Oregon, a young woman defies all odds and survives—but she awakens with no idea who she is, or what happened to her. Refusing to answer to “Jane Doe” for another day, the woman renames herself “Water” for the tiny, hidden marking on her body—the only clue to her past. Taken in by old Ginny Fitzgerald, a crotchety but kind lady living on a nearby horse farm, Water slowly begins building a new life. But as she attempts to piece together the fleeting slivers of her memory, more questions emerge: Who is the next-door neighbor, quietly toiling under the hood of his Barracuda? Why won’t Ginny let him step foot on her property? And why does Water feel she recognizes him? Twenty-four-year-old Jesse Welles doesn’t know how long it will be before Water gets her memory back. For her sake, Jesse hopes the answer is never. He knows that she’ll stay so much safer—and happier—that way. And that’s why, as hard as it is, he needs to keep his distance. Because getting too close could flood her with realities better left buried. The trouble is, water always seems to find its way to the surface.
